Report: Marvin Lewis to leave Cincinnati

I read somewhere that the Cincy mgmt. were surprised that he planned on leaving the team. How and why does this surprise them? If they weren't going to fire him at the end of the season then as a fan it would be time to give up on your team. The guy has been there far too long and given nothing to your fan base. That was a crazy report to me.
