Do not worry.

First of all, the Jaguars are missing good wide receivers.

Second, the buzz around the 49ers is not a mirage, despite what Bears, Texans, Tacks and Jag fans said prior to the game. Having a good quarterback really does make a team a lot better. So the Jaguars did not just lose to a 4-10 team. They lost to a 4-0 team that started 1-10 and suddenly started dominating time of possession and scoring almost every drive as soon as the new qb started playing.

Third, a lack of focus killed the team today. They went full Seahawks mode. This can be a real lesson for these young guys about having a killer instinct that is strong enough to keep emotions in check.

Fourth, while New England is a real threat, it might not even come to that as they could lose, and furthermore their defense is not that intimidating.

Fifth, not only do the 49ers have a quality qb, they also have the best play caller in the league. No one left to face will be on that level except McDaniels. 


Bottom line: if the Jaguars get healthy and start acting like winners (e.g. no idiotic headbutts on the most important series of the game), they have a chance.
