There's a lot of truth and concern in that. It was certainly a concern with him coming out of LSU. But I guess the overall talent was too much to pass up on. Which I agree with. Who else do you take there with the 4th overall pick? I don't consider this a waste. It's too early to say such things. And given that this team has already won four or five games this year WITHOUT him is promising enough for me that they can probably overcome a lot more than we think or realize. 

Would you have not taken Fred Taylor in 1998 had you known he was going to miss close to 3 - 4 years worth of football in total due to injuries? I still take him there. The talent and reward is too great to pass up on. All things considered. I still wouldn't mind seeing us take Nick Chubb out of Georgia in a few months to compliment him.

Did Taylor have a history of chronic injuries to his feet and ankles? Big difference between a guy having NFL injury problems and already being medically problematic when they enter the league.

Personally I was an Adams guy, but there were multiple players that could have been taken, better yet the Jaguars could have traded back with the Panthers and done something bold, since the Panthers apparently wanted Fournette so badly.
