Would you have not taken Fred Taylor in 1998 had you known he was going to miss close to 3 - 4 years worth of football in total due to injuries? I still take him there. The talent and reward is too great to pass up on. All things considered. I still wouldn't mind seeing us take Nick Chubb out of Georgia in a few months to compliment him.

Did Taylor have a history of chronic injuries to his feet and ankles? Big difference between a guy having NFL injury problems and already being medically problematic when they enter the league.

Personally I was an Adams guy, but there were multiple players that could have been taken, better yet the Jaguars could have traded back with the Panthers and done something bold, since the Panthers apparently wanted Fournette so badly.

I don't know much about Taylor's college injury history. But to that point. You never know what's going to happen really. It's all 50/50. They took a chance and swung for the fences and based on at least four to six games this year he's certainly been worth that big swing. Myles Jack playing well as a rookie and now into his 2nd year coming off that really bad knee injury may have given the front office a lot of confidence too in their decision to take him.
