If it's a Titans twice in a row scenario

#22

First of all, it's a no-brainer that the Jags should do everything in their power to eliminate the Titans on Sunday. This is probably your number 1 hated rival after what happened in 1999 and you want to take them out in front of their fans. It will also give the Jags momentum going into the playoffs rather than coming off of 2 straight losses. I believe the Jags are definitely a superior team than the Titans at this point of the season and should be able to win this game. If I were Coach Marrone, I'd still sit any key Jaguars who are significantly ailing. That would include Fournette, Robinson, Hurns and Lee IF another week of rest will help them heal for the first playoff game. They will especially need Fournette, Robinson and Lee to be close to 100% to beat either the Titans or Chargers in Round 1 so it's not worth the risk of getting any of them more banged up, especially Robinson.

Personally, I see no way these Titans can beat the Jags 2 more times this season. They are nothing like the 1999 Titans and Mariotta is not playing well. Even if the Titans win this week, I see the Jags blowing the Titans out the following week. On the other hand, the Chargers really scare me. I know the Jags beat them earlier this season, but they are a dangerous team- especially with Bosa and Ingram pressuring Bortles. And if Wells must play for Robinson, I really think this game would be a toss-up. Therefore, the best scenerio is if somehow the Raiders upset the Chargers next week on the road and the Jags beat the Titans. I doubt the Raiders will do it after how bad they looked last night, but maybe Coach Jack will inspire is team to play hard and eliminate a division rival from the playoffs.
