I was watching a documentary about quantum physics, and they discussed how one's current reality affects one's ability to comprehend the incomprehensible. When Columbus moored his ship in New World harbors, the natives had never seen anything remotely like them, so it took time before they actually saw them. Only the village shamans, who spent their lives in metaphysical pursuits and had the ability to "think outside the box", were able to comprehend and physically see the strange vessels.

Aliens could be amongst us right now, but in a form we cannot comprehend.
