If you go through the play-by-play of most games or watch the NFL rewind with the play by play pulled up in the margin, Hackett has done a good job of mixing things up the vast majority of the season.

I think I agree with most of your points. I don't want change coordinators. I just want him to treat the early-game like he does the late-game. If you look on paper, we're exactly 50-50 run / pass (527 to 527), but it seems like he spends most of the first half running the ball and then most of the second half passing the ball (typically when we're losing). There's no balance in that type of gameplan.

When he isn't run, run, pass, he implements a very good game plan. I don't think he gets enough credit overall, but like players, coaches have bad games too. I think Hackett needs to balance the game better throughout all four quarters.

I think this perception is skewed because Hackett only does this against certain opponents which he's identified as easier to run against. He doesn't consistently go run heavy in the first half.

For instance - in the Seattle tilt  -  the first half of the game - the calls from Hackett were 15 passes and 9 runs. But folks forget that he's done that several times this season for some reason and just concentrate on a handful of games in which he sold out to try to get Fournette going early.
(which isn't a terrible plan when it works BTW - and it did work a number of times - just ask a steelers fan)

I'd love to see him be a bit more creative with the run game early in games sometimes, but it's sort of the nature of the beast. You have to do it until it works sometimes - and that involves some failed attempts before breaking one.
