I still want to know, what does that mean, "...don't accept..."?   What does it mean to not accept it?   What would I do differently?  

I see this all the time.  "I am not going to accept..."   but what does it actually mean?   It's meaningless.   You can say "I accept it..." or you can say, "I don't accept it..."  but what the hell difference does it make?   I don't see where I have any choice but to accept things.

I guess it's the difference between being an adult and a child.

An adult sees something that he or she has no control over, quickly realizes nothing he or she does can change anything about it, and accept it. As adults.

A child sees something like that and says NO NO NO! I DON'T CARE! NO!! IT'S NOT HAPPENING! LA LA LA LA!
