I haven't seen any reports Daryl Smith was asking for big money, nor did he sign for big money, so where is this idea that he held out for more money coming from?

 

As a matter of fact when he signed in Baltimore they said in the papers they had been in contact with him earlier in the offseason but waited until June because of the lack of interest in him. They didn't figure anyone else was going to snag him up so they kept their options open until the end of the offseason.
