It was when victor kiam owned the team but a guy with the name of kraft wasnt gonna let that happen. He ended up buying the team, and he eventually paid to have gillette stadium built.

Since kraft (94) bought team they have enjoyed success having only 2 losing seasons thats 22/24 i believe they have made the playoffs 19/24 seasons. They have been to the title game in 13 of the 24 years. They have been pretty succesful id say
