I think what you say is pretty reasonable.   There's no rush.   They have him under contract next year, and then if they want to, they can franchise him the year after that.  

If it were up to me, I would draft a guy to develop, and see how Blake does next year.   Then, if he can take another step forward, work out a new contract.

I'd be really interested to see how he can do with Allan Robinson, a new TE, and and further improvements to the offensive line.
