But almost any QB in the league could have scored 6 points in that game which would have won them the game. 

I'm on board with Blake coming back next year. Get ARob back, get Mark Andrews and a full season of Westbrook? I love it. But Alex Smith is a good QB and I think he could have won the Bills game.

Alex Smith actually played Buffalo this season, scored 10 points and lost the game with a much worse Total QBR and QB Rating than Bortles had. The Bills also held Matt Ryan to 17. Cam Newton to 9. Held the Colts to 7 and the Dolphins to 16 twice in wins. The big difference in those games was interceptions. Blake had no picks against Buffalo and with the Jags defense came out with a win. There is a different game plan from week to week. The Jags knew they had to put up points against Pittsburgh and came out swinging with the play action. Against Buffalo it was much more conservative and trying to limit mistakes and turnovers.
