NE's defense is just as stingy as the Jags giving up points. 

NE has home field, experience, better coaches, a 75% Brady is still better than Bortles, NE always gets its points, especially when teams blitz. 

Jags are well coached, have a very good RB, great defense, a QB who can run, but is very prone to having real stinkers.

Bottles will have to play mistake free and make plays with his legs. The Jags will have to get to Brady while rushing only 4. NE just has to play their game.

I’m anticipating running mostly out of nickel against the Pats. We have enough speed and defensive backs that can hit to keep up with Gronk and the receivers. Our DL can rush without help, so we can afford to keep more defenders back. 

Granted, your defense is stingy as you say. Our offense is actually one of the best in the red zone. We can drive the field, run the clock, and score. Odds are if we get into the red zone, we’re scoring. 

Don’t worry about blitzing because most of my pressure is from the front.

Your point about Home field, experience, coaching, etc. is true. I can’t really refute any of that, but Bortles, when he’s on point, can sling the ball AND has some wheels on him. 

Bortles isn’t “prone” to having bad games. He only had a couple this year. This isn’t the Bortles of years passed. He’s young so he makes mistakes, but outside of just a couple of games, he’s been very solid this year. 

Your last comment shows that you don’t follow the Jags. The mistake-free I agree with. He doesn’t need to use his legs to beat New England. He just needs to be mistake-free. Numerous teams played us and numerous times they thought all they had to do is make Bortles throw. Most of them were unsuccessful. Again, we get most of our pressure with 4 linemen. 

You make it seem like all New England has to do is show up. These two teams are perfectly matched up. You guys keep downplaying that. I think, even both teams show up, then it’ll be a very close game coming down to turnovers. If Brady’s off just a little, and the Jags show up then I think they run away with it.
