The DB can only impede a receiver’s path to the ball if he is also going after the ball. That's not what happened.

I see it as he was running for the ball and was basically moved out of bounds PRIOR to having a chance to catch the ball. PI, clearly to me but we all know PI calls are subjective. Sometimes the most blatant ones are missed and others are questionable, at best. But to me, he didn't allow cooks to even attempt to catch the ball.

Sure. Cooks had a huge game against these "amazing" cornerbacks. No one even game Cooks a chance all week and he ended up torching them on some plays.
