He has a lot of the qualities you'd like in a QB though, and played well for most of December and against Pittsburgh and NE. I'd like to see the Jags sign him to a short term extension at a reasonable contract and see if his growth continues. I think if your Coughlin/Caldwell you have to consider contingency plans too.
