To my previous colleges, Cousins is a good qb and would most likely be an upgrade. The issue is what you will have to pay Cousins. Blake’s 19 million puts him around 15-17 highest paid qb. Cousins will be the highest paid qb in the offseason (either Franchised or free agent). Blake was the 11 ranked passer this league. Cousins was 8th I beleive. Is Cousins worth 11 million more? Statistically you get 400 more passing yards 3 more completion percentage points and 6 more tds same amount of ints. This is also with better receiver options to throw to. Cousins is also 28-29. Blake is 24.

Cousins to me isn’t enough of an upgrade to essential destroy your roster 2 years from now. If he can’t carry a roster to the playoffs now why would he do it once he’s taking up 30% of our salary cap and we can’t feild a team.

Now if we talking Brees I’m all for it.

Smith is poo. Just draft Blake the weapons he’s got and we can win a Super Bowls. I don’t think smith has ever taken a team to a conference game. Bradford has done nothing but be hurt and Keenum is gonna get paid. All of these moves seem like lateral moves except for Brees and I don’t know if he’s leaving NO when they can just re-sing him and draft Mayfeild.

Just keep Blake and get him the weapons instead of having to dominate with Mickens, Cole and Lee
