If Blake proves he's really the right guy next year and we decide to sign him, he's going to get money in the same ball park as Cousins anyway. If they decide to tag him next year instead it will be in the same ballpark as well. So what's the real difference between paying a guy this year or next year especially when we can afford it? It's going to happen at some point.

And actually I think they'd already have the potential deal with Cousins signed, it would just be submitted right at 4:00 pm to the league, so they could almost simultaneously cut and sign. But who knows. It will be interesting to see what the front office thinks is best.
