In regards to Garrard's situation...
They went all in after his lil run on pass rushers and then everything else fell apart (starting with losing 2 starting OL guys that year)
But, they did eventually draft a guy to replace him.

His name was Gabbert.

Perhaps we give Bortles a chance to continue to improve under this new leadership while we have him under the 5th year option?
We can draft a guy... nay, we should draft a guy...
I'm just saying... let's not rush Bortles out of town just yet.
Is he a "great" QB now? No.
Is he a better QB than he was a year ago? I think so...
No rules saying he can't continue to improve, grow, and become great.
