It's possible, but I don't see it that way as of now.

Wash's playcalling/scheme got BETTER under Marrone. Not sure how Marrone can catch any blame for Wash calling less zone than he did before - but still using it a bit too much. Hopefully Marrone and Coughlin look back on that and influence Wash to tighten that up even more than they have.

Hackett has done a nice job the majority of the time but has these lapses where he gets predictable and "safe." Is Marrone making him do that?  Maybe, but if you believe Doug Marrone (I find him very believable) he says he likes to have his coordinators do their job and he will only interject in critical situations when he hears something in the headset he doesn't like or wants to discuss.

So that leads me to believe marrone may be influencing offensive calls at times but that Hackett is the one calling the vast majority of plays without too much regulation.

I do, however, blame Marrone for the poor clock management in the last game as well as a few others.  The excessive/poorly timed zone stuff and the predictability on offense I blame the coordinators for.  Seems pretty cut and dry to me.

I gotta agree but disagree with u on this NYC. I am not sure the scheme for WASH got better under Marrone. We have all pro players at every level. Wash may be good... but Marrone's mentality.. is the problem.

I ain't trying to rock Marrone. I am just a believer in LEADERS. When BB tells any coordinator what to do... they do it. The Jags have shown this identity all year long!!! AND THATS ON HACKETT AND WASH? After a loss... someone takes the blame.. but come on man.. Marrone watch a superbowl or 5 ... you might of known you are playing the GOAT.
