Whether or not Marrone is giving the directive or not it’s on Hackett to stop using the repetitive playcalling outlined by the Sharp football guy. No excuse for that. 

I’m also inclined to believe these scenarios are played out beforehand and the staff as a whole agrees to what situations they take the air out of the ball or go into primarily zone. 

Of course, Marrone has final say so it ultimately lays at his feet.
