I hope we keep BB, and I think we will. If you look at 2017-18 in a vacuum, as you should with a young player, he is at the level of a "good" NFL starting QB. Not great, not elite, but "good". There aren't very many of those, and I just don't see much in the way of upgrades from Bortles level of play that would be worth it.

The downside with BB is that he may improve some more, but not much more than the level he's at now. He'll never be Brady/Rodgers/Roethelisberger. The good news is that you can win a championship with that type of a quarterback, many teams have. We nearly did this year. It's just important to be "elite" in other areas (such as defense, which we are or nearly are) and to continue to surround your "good" QB with weapons/OL. Honestly, considering our so-so OL and ridiculous run of injury bad luck at the WR position, I think it makes BB's play this year stand out even more.
