Adding to the conversation: the most recent example of something like this is Denver. They went after Manning (at minimum top 5 greatest qb all time) because they knew he was capable of winning with that roster. In 4 years they got 4 playoff appearances, 2 super bowl appearances and 1 ring. That’s with arguably a top 5 qb, him having a full compliment of weapons and a stacked defense. Y’all think Cousins is gonna do that here?

To add insult to injury, the year Manning retired guess what, they lost players in Ward, Trevathan and Jackson (why do y’all think we have a pro bowl, super bowl winning DT on the team now). I get the angst over wanting to up grade Blake, I really do but I want long term sustainable success. Not a swing for the fence for 2 years. We can have years of milk and honey or try to get it all now and then end up with nothing and back to mediocrity at best.

I mean sheesh look at Denver. They had instant success and now they are back in the gutter. This would be a huge Gamble on a guy like Cousins who is no where near the player Ole big head was.
