And what if we end up like the Jets and get a bunch of Geno Smith's, Hackenburg, Petty, etc. We never find a QB solution and we waste this defense?

It's a big gamble hoping Blake takes another step and/or we can draft a QB that ends up being the guy.

This year was the perfect storm. We lost ARob, but no major injuries outside of that all year. Played the 25th ranked schedule in the season and two division rivals lost their QBs for the season.

I have more confidence in Caldwell/Coughlin drafting a guy that doesn't suck than them drafting a string of inferior QBs than you do.  I also think the current coaching staff will analyze 2017 and then improve this offense a bit next year even with Bortles behind center. 

I don't see as much risk in this approach as many here apparently.
