Does watching Seattle excite you about what the Jags are building?

Some interesting debates going on here. Smile

About our passing game. Seahawks fans also complain a lot about it over last 5 games (after week 13 game against Sains). Most of us think it's Bevell's playcalling, but it's also true, Wilson isn't the same as before. They need to figure out quickly, what's going on and we need to get much better against San Fran.

I think strong wind and Carroll's "obsession" with ball security also played a role in Saturdays game. When we take the lead, Carroll just didn't want to risk too much. Regardless, 2nd half offense wasn't good enough. We should decide the game sooner.

Overall, Wilson will never have passing yards as Brees, Brady or even Luck, because we have great defense, running game and ST and he don't have to do that much. But he can win a game, when that is required from him. He already proved that a couple of times.

Quote:After seeing how good Seattle's Defense has played this year without Gus Bradley and their former DL coach, it makes me wonder how much of the success was from those two coaches & maybe just from the talent & other coaches ( or it could be that they remember the stuff Gus taught them).....

Just a thought I had

Gus Bradley and now Dan Quinn both did a very good job as defensive coordinators, but at the end of the day this is Pete Carroll's defense.

Quote:Russell Wilson consistently wins games.   Wilson's multi-dimensional skills also makes the Seahawks running game better,  which in turn aids their Defense,  The bottom line is regardless of Wilson's stats the other day,  he was the winning QB and is 6 days away from playing for the opportunity to go to the Super Bowl.   He must be doing plenty right.

While I rate Andrew Luck higher than all of the other young QB's in the NFL,    it's easy to appreciate the skills and intangibles Russell Wilson brings to the table.   He's w/o a doubt the one player the Seahawks can't afford to lose,   though Richard Sherman is the closest thing to that on the Defensive Side of the ball.

I'd say Earl Thomas. Because of his range we can play the defensive scheme we play. Sherm is great, but I think it would be harder to find a replacement for ET than Sherm.

Quote:Harbaugh may be a great coach but lets not pretend he didn't walk into a gem of a roster situation. Very similar to Andy Reid with the Chiefs this year. He is a good coach but he also had a good starting roster to work with.

I'm not as familiar with the Seahawks roster when Carroll took over.

C Max Unger, DE Red Bryant (he wasn't good at DT and was almost cut, but then he starts playing run-stopping DE) and punter Jon Ryan are the only players left on current roster from before Carroll era.

I agree about Harbaugh and SF.
