We have BB5 under contract for 19m this year. There are 2 things ppl seem to think that can happen next year. He can make another leap and lead us to another AFCSC and playoffs or he can fail to make any more improvement and not be any better. This year we do not have any big contracts we will have to address except Arob and that could be a show me contact coming off the knee. Next year we will have to address some big contracts Ramsey, Yanique. If BB5 makes the improvements most think he will then he will aslo be up for a new contract. And at the going rate of QB contacts that could put us in a bind. For the team as a whole a smart option would be to extend BB5 for 2 - 3 years at 20-22 per year(franchise #s). If he makes strides we already have him and dont have to come up with a 5 yr 29m going rate for QB contract next year. If he does not make the strides the team wants they can release him. Paying a QB next year will be hard with the other contracts coming up.
