I think part of the problem is the AR in AR15...
Originally it was the AR10, in 7.62x51 before being scaled down and called the AR15 before it became the M16. The AR stands for ARmalite, the Company that first made it... the guy who designed it was a former aeronautics engineer who wanted to make a rifle with the latest and greatest polymers to make a lightweight rifle. People all assume AR is Assault Rifle. Noooooooope. Once again, research is the enemy of the left. |
