You don't need to be Dr. Phil to see what's going on here.

A friend of mine is convinced that if you made such people have to choose between their weapon and their Bible, they would select their gun every time.

I also think NRA Wayne goes to bed every night dreaming of another black Democrat President. So good for business.

My weapon prevents being "made" to make such a choice, but if I had to choose I take the gun then use it to take my Bible, as the 2nd Amendment intends.
