If we can find a way to work the contract to where it’s full of incentives the first year and then middle to top tier pay the remaining years I think it would be a win for both sides. But I fully expect him to test the market and go to the highest bidder. It’s a shame but it’s the business.

Me personally I’d take a 1 year prove it deal (7-9 million) with the chance to win a SB in the process and still test FA next year. But that’s me.

Would you take a one year prove it deal with a team that wants to run every play if they had the opportunity to? A team that runs a very basic pass offense with a QB that's inaccurate and will put you in dangerous situations with ball placement? 

If he takes a one year prove it deal, which I agree I would do it, I would do so with a team that best gives me the chance to succeed. The fact is here in Jacksonville, this is not the spot to succeed as a WR in this offense. Therefore he is going to ask for a deal which he believes is his worth. Him taking a one year prove it deal here in Jacksonville makes zero sense from a business standpoint in his camp's perspective. If they are dumb enough to accept that here, then Caldwell is a god.
