Yes, Obama extended the mess which resulted in the housing market recovery and the Dow doubling and anyone with a sense of investment knowledge reeling in profits from the recovery.

Sorry you weren't forward thinking enough to profit during the 8-year Obama administration.   I guess I'd be bitter too if I kept my $$ under my mattress between 2008-2016 waiting for the sky to fall.

All that is based on a collapse of the housing market fueled by a Dem controlled House and Senate after the 2006 elections.

When your home is worth more than it was in 2007, then and only then can you claim a housing market recovery. Neither the house I live in (in a hot Orlando area housing market), nor the house I lived in in 2007, nor the house I lived in before that one, have recovered to their 2007 market price.

Likewise, using the bottom of a temporary collapse in the stock market as a starting point is pure spin. The Dow gained about 50% over it's 2007 high, which is the typical average of the market (actually slightly lower than average) under any president over the course of ten years. And it was done at the cost of doubling the National Debt.

We all are better off financially now than in January 2009 ... except for the many who never returned to the workplace thanks to Obama's policies and were forced to use up their savings. People are almost always better off financially eight years later, at least if they had a steady job and/or a significant investment portfolio. That's not a valid measure of success.
