Picking at the top is a fairly easy chore as far as whittling down the possible targets to a relatively small handful of players to talk about.  With a much less clear picture of who will be available to us, it almost becomes a debate of what position (not necessarily which player) we prefer.

I personally find myself not having a particular player I prefer this year.  Would I be ok with Lamar Jackson?  Probably.  But at the same time, I'd probably be just as (or even more) happy with a TE, OL, or WR with the first pick.

Choosing as late as we do... the possibilities will be much greater, and the night will be an extremely long one for us until our pick is in.

Barring, of course, any trade up - which I don't have an opinion on whether or not I think we'll do it.  I personally prefer more picks than fewer picks.

First off, long time no read!  Welcome back.

I think given that we have pretty much filled all of the marquee positions with young talent to the extent we were 2:37 away from this past Super Bowl, there is a lot of depth at our positions of need, I am more inclined to deal down than I would be in years past, especially since we are so far down that there shouldn't be much, if any separation in talent between picks 29-40 or so as opposed to the typical drop off between players in the top 5 and the 2nd tier players.

I have a few players I prefer, but not necessarily in "pound the table" manner.  Maybe Hernandez, but that's about it.
