A couple of years? Where's Tavon? You can wait around to determine Kupp is exceptionally talented and has a very high probability of sustained greatness in the NFL, but the league is woke.

Imagine this...what if Bortles' last throw sailed into the competent hands of Cooper Kupp and not bounce off Caldwell's latest secret weapon, Westbrook? Sometimes a single botched draft pick is the difference between pretty good and greatness. 

Funny, Westbrook graded higher than Kupp, but was drafted a round later. Smoot who was drafted instead of Kupp was taken a round too soon. Did Caldwell know nobody wanted Westbrook and he would be able to draft him in the fourth so he took Smoot way early figuring he would not still be around for the Jaguars' fourth pick? Cooper Kupp NEVER occurred to Caldwell? Not likely. He rather didn't draft him because he knew he would by nature challenge the status quo.

Better teams approach the draft not even knowing which players they will take. They trust their own work in free agency and their own field scouts have put together a great board and draft day is simply a matter of gazing up at the board and selecting the best available player.

Keelan Cole was not even drafted and put up comparable numbers to Kupp so I guess the Rams overdrafted him then. They should all be fired for drafting a guy they could have just gotten after the draft....

Westbrook had off the feild concerns... he was a consensus 2nd round pick at minimum. 
 
Lol and clearly you did not watch the AFCG lol. You can complain about a lot of stuff with this team but Caldwell’s draft strategy should not be one. He has an eye for talent. That cannot be disputed. Do Gms miss? Yes they all miss. The goal is to hit more than miss and that is exactly what he has done.
