Of course here you're banking that one of them falls, and if one does fall to near the end of round three, you're talking about getting the one guy among them that nobody else wanted. At that point you'd have to wonder why nobody else wanted him.

Having said that, we can probably find a really good developmental backup in round three provided we already addressed the starters in free agency.

That's exactly how we wound up with Linder. When Dave traded up to get him he said they had a tier of guards ranked as startable and once Linder was the only one left he made the move to get him. I wouldn't call that situation as "have to wonder why nobody else wanted him."
