Chase Daniel a threat to Bortles?  A 31 year old QB who has never been anything but a back up?  2 starts in 8 years, 78 total passes in his career and an 81 QB rating - I don't think I'd have any confidence at all if he had to play any meaningful snaps.  I'd rather have McCown or a rookie (Mason Rudolph, Lamar Jackson) then Chase Daniel.  

fyi - I can't see us paying Teddy Bridgewater the $$ he's going to get after we extended Bortles....

I honestly think McCown is gonna retire. I didn't even count him as being in the running, because I don't believe he will be back. I definitely want a rookie as our #2. That was the point I was trying to make. I don't want an old veteran. I want someone who can be the future of the franchise. There is no FA QB worth the money they will demand in free agency. Draft a rookie on the first or second day and bring him in to be the heir to the starting QB job. As for Bridgewater, no way. He's coming off a major injury, he didn't fare that well when he was healthy and I have a feeling he is gonna be fragile, because his lower body and legs are so thin.
