There's no question in my mind that the Jaguars must bring in A. J. McCarron provided they give him a fair shot at winning the starting quarterback job.

If the franchise will insist that he tone down his desire to be THE starting quarterback, accepting a back-up role, it does the entire franchise a disservice.

I don't give a flip what college McCarron attended. He has paid his dues and deserves a fair chance to prove he can lead the offense as the starting quarterback.

McCarron has publicly stated he is willing to work a contract to suit the team.

The Jaguars are aligned perfectly with McCarron's strengths and his experience as a quarterback. Our system is a perfect match.
