I reckon we grab a QB late on in fa but before the draft and I think it will be Sam Bradford

I think cousins goes to Minnesota and aj McCarron goes to the browns (before they draft a QB at 4)

The jets resign McCown and the broncos give keenum a glennon style deal to sit before the guys they draft

That leaves you with Bridgewater and Bradford in free agency if you actually want to push Bortles and I think teddy will want to go to Arizona or buffalo where he will have a shot at a starting job (probably arizona).

That leaves Bradford as your only QB that could compete with bortles as a starter and add something as a backup.  Give him an incentive laden deal and use our draft picks to build a little more on offense. If bb5 doesnt build on next year its rookie QB time

Next year's QB crop looks awful. Unless someone steps up their game like Mayfield did in 2017, I don't see a QB worth drafting in the first 3 rounds of next year's draft. All the good ones entered early in this one.

Yeah for real. A good backup QB is like having tonsils. Your body don't really need them.

You guys and this upgrade the backup stuff.

Henne didn't cost us any wins or losses last year. And he won't this year.

It's not just about having a good backup. It's about finding a QB that can be the future QB. We need a QB who can at least be trusted enough to open up the playbook and take a few deep passes. If Bortles still can't do that by the end of the season, we're screwed. We need to find a young QB who can compete for the starting job by 2019.
