For the price of Allen Robinson's 2018 salary the Jags will have Moncreif and Lee.  I would have liked for both contracts to be a bit less, but such is the harsh reality of free agency. You overpay 99% of the time.

Allen Robinson signed for $14 mil per.

Compare that to $9.5 mil per for Lee plus $7 mil per for Moncrief.

If they wanted to spend $16.5 mil on WRs, they could have simpliy tagged ARob.

Then again, that's just the surface numbers as Lee's first-year cap hit might be less. 

Lee's first year cap hit may well be less, but the thing you are somehow ignoring here is that they signed TWO receivers for the cost of one Allen Robinson.  

Consider the term "value." 

Defenses will struggle to cover everybody when you trot out Moncreif, Lee, Cole and Westbrook.  That's a lot of speed at WR and there will be some serious mismatches at times.  At the very least - it helps you back up the LBs and secondary some to run the ball easier. 

If Blake takes another step forward in development - this WR group is plenty dangerous.
