#5

(03-17-2018, 08:30 AM)Jags02 Wrote: Trade: Bills trade #12, #22 and the #121 (4th round) for the Browns #4 and #64 (2nd round).

1. Browns – RB Saquon Barkley – the Browns LT retires making it even tougher on their QB, so the Browns look to dominate on the ground with Barkley backed up by Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson.
2. Giants – QB Sam Darnold – Giants future starts now with Darnold backing up Eli
3. Colts – DE Brad Chubb – Colts have had Chubb in sight all along
4. Bills (through Browns through Texans) – Bills do what it takes for their guy… QB Josh Rosen
5. Broncos – DB Minkah Fitzpatrick - Takes right over for Aqib Talib
6. Jets – QB Baker Mayfield – the Jets aren’t content with Bridgewater and McCown
7. Bucs – CB Denzel Ward – Will help transform one of the league’s worst offenses defenses playing opposite Hargreaves.
8. Bears – G Quenton Nelson – A younger version of Josh Sitton
9. 49ers – LB Tremaine Edmunds – Niners had him targetted
10. Raiders – OT Mike McGlinchey – the Raiders waived their RT and Penn said he’s retiring as their LT after two more seasons. The situation sets up perfectly for McGlinchey.
11. Dolphins – QB Josh Allen – Allen’s strong arm will help cut through the thick air in Miami.
12. Browns (through Bills through Bengals) – OT Conner Williams - replaces the retired Joe Thomas
13. Redskins – DT Vita Vea – They get their run stuffing DT
14. Packers – WR Calvin Ridley replaces the departing Jordy Nelson
15. Cards – G Isaiah Wynn – the Cards desperately need to beef up their OL
16. Ravens - TE Dallas Goedert – a perfect fit for Baltimore’s offense
17. Chargers - LB Roquan Smith – Gus Bradley needs his perfect LB
18. Seahawks – CB Mike Hughes - Hughes replaces Sherm
19. Cowboys – DT Da’Ron Payne – the explosive DT fits their scheme well
20. Lions – DE Marcus Davenport – the Lions must find their edge rush
21. Bengals (through Bills) – G Will Hernandez – the interior OL is easily the Bengals biggest need
22. Browns (through Bills through Chiefs) – QB Lamar Jackson – the Browns see Jackson as the perfect backup to Tyrod with a scheme emphasizing a running game manager at QB.
23. Rams – C James Daniels – Daniels is one more piece to the Rams nearly complete puzzle
24. Panthers – WR Courtland Sutton – He’s not dropping any further
25. Titans – DE Harold Landry – With Malcolm Butler at CB they can now focus on their edge rush
26. Falcons – DT Harrison Phillips – Phillips replaces Dontari Poe
27. Saints – TE Mike Gesicki – Watch out for Brees to Gesicki
28. Steelers – S Derwin James – biggest need and best available talent
29. Jaguars – LB Leighton Vander Esch – With Poz retired, Vander Esch will plug right in at MLB or SLB taking the defense to the next level.
30. Vikings- OT Orlando Brown – the massive Brown fills a huge need whether he starts at G or OT
31. Patriots – Jaire Alexander - Patriots get their combine standout CB to replace Butler
32. Eagles - WR Christian Kirk – the playmaking WR should quickly make a name for himself

First off, good effort.  doing a good one isn't easy at all.  Kudos to you.

I started doing mine today, but you beat me to it.  I still may submit one this weekend or next week at the latest.

Your trade involving Buffalo and Cleveland makes a ton of sense, but I don't see Cleveland coming off the #4 pick to risk missing out on one of the QBs for the new GM Dorsey.  They still have a ton of ammunition to trade back up into the bottom of the first to land one of the tackles.  I could see Dallas or Seattle possibly trading back.
I have Davenport going as high as Tampa.  OTOH, I have been thinking McGlinchey goes a little lower, but his selection by Oakland makes sense.  I could also see the Colts trading out of the 3rd pick with Buffalo instead.  ***NEWSBREAK  As I type this, NFL Network has announced the Colts have traded out of #3 with the Jets in exchange for #6, the 37 & 49th picks and a 2nd round pick next year******

One thing I find most interesting (contentious or controversial?) is Mason Rudolph falling completely out of the first round.  With the Cards still having a desperate need at QB (sorry-Bradford/Glennon ain't gonna cut it in Az any more than Bridgewater/McCown cuts it in NYJ), with Baltimore, Chargers, Saints, Steelers and Patriots all having mid to late thirty something QBs where a replacement needs to be groomed, I don't see how Rudolph falls completely out of the round.

I like the idea of Vita Vea in Washington next to Allen.  That combo would help them hold up strong against the run.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
