I'm reminded of Jason Hill. 

If you just said "who" ...I understand. 

Hill was set to be our savior replacing Jimmy Smith. He had the combine stats and looked like he'd be an instant stud, but the season began and he never did squat.

I don't mean to suggest this will happen with Moncrief, but the set-up seems similar.  
This seems like relevant information since Hill is actually Moncrief. Hill is immortal and changed his name to get back on the Jags and disappoint us again. Thank you for this genius take.
