It doesn't matter if he was sworn in on a roll of Charmin, the Oath is what matters, not some book or scroll. Obama took the oath a second time, in the presence of reporters and a photographer (you know, the public) because his legal counsel advised him that Justice Roberts' errors the first time could give conspiracy theorists ammunition in the future to claim that Obama was never sworn in.
