I'm not sure what you are talking about. Carr had an excellent rookie season under Olsen, Bulger had the best season of his career under Olsen, and Freeman looked to be a franchise QB under Olsen.

On top of that, he was the QB coach for Drew Brees at Purdue and John Kitna at Central Washington State who had a 16 year NFL career.

I've said it before that Oley is a passing game genius along with being one of the league's best QB Coaches. Olsen is why Bortles ha 35 TDs in 2015. The problem in 2016 was two-fold. For starters, Blakes arm fatigued after the Bears game and then was injured in the Titans game. He wasn't even throwing like himself until December. This, in turn, left the Jaguars with a need to run the ball, only this is where Greg Olsen fails utterly. The man is absolutely clueless when it comes to running the football. Some teams employ a separate "run game coordinator." I keep thinking Oley's perfect role would be "passing game coordinator" where someone else handles all the running issues and calls the actual plays.
