Your right, just texted him asking how his day was going. Why else would he text. No mention of a call. I don’t care if his agent broke it, no reason not to CALL him.

I would assume the agents handle the negotiation of contracts and all phases of it period. I’m just guessing now, but I would assume the same protocol was followed in informing the agent that the player would be released. He will most likely actually speak to management when he goes to clean out his locker. 

I’m assuming this is how this procedure is followed
