Lamar Jackson making questionable decisions

All he will do, is participate in position drills. On top of that, Mike Mayock is reporting that several teams are having a hard time setting up meetings with Jackson. This really perplexes me. Wouldn't he want to set up as many meetings as possible to improve his chances of getting drafted higher? The article says he is being represented by his mother. It looks like she has no clue what she is doing. In any case, this isn't setting well for some NFL teams. Either he is getting very bad advice from his mother or this may be some kind of "diva type" behavior.

Maybe he tried to bulk up for the pro day like Bridgewater did to address frame/size concerns. That could have been a reason he didn't want to be timed. Who knows.

In the end, those truly interested are mostly looking at the tape, which isn't new.

It is not uncommon for players at their pro day to stand on their performance at the combine if they deem it sufficient in a given area.

Nothing new would have been gleaned from him running the 40 again.

As for difficulty setting up a meeting with him, that could be attributable to any number of things-some his fault, some not.

To me, the overarching concern is accuracy. To the extent accuracy can be remedied by coaching proper footwork, he may improve. How much and how soon are the questions.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!
