I get that the story isn't over here.

But just consider for a moment... what if he doesn't ever get back (or isn't close to who he was?)

Apparently this injury dates back to the end of 2015. He then played through 2016 with it.

The treatments he then received caused him to not be able to play through 2017, and he's still not football ready.

What if it was the decision to not rest but to play through injury for so long ends up being a factor should his career be cut short? Whoever made the decision to play through or otherwise put off treatment would have made a very costly mistake.
