I have the same question with every mock draft- is this what you think will happen, or is this what you think should happen. I suspect MJD's mock draft is what he things should happen. These are the picks he would make if he was running the teams. I think.
In that light, his picks for the Browns make sense. They're taking the best players. If you look at the teams that made the conference championship games last year, only one had an elite QB. The rest were strong rosters. In the past, teams have been so desperate to land that fabled "elite QB" of which there are very few, that they have whiffed and whiffed and whiffed at that position, at the expense of all the other positions on the team. It's possible that teams will wise up and just try to build a great roster, and not blow so much draft capital taking home-run swings at the QB position. |
