I went to the bowl game here in Jacksonville, and watched him closely, and he didn't impress me at all.  He doesn't seem to throw accurately.

Take a look at when his mechanics are on point and you'll see that he usually throws a very accurate pass.  I think that stuff is definitely able to be coached up.  Combine that with him being a natural fit for a RPO and PA, I think he makes a lot of sense for us.

If he falls past Arizona and he's there in the 20s, I wouldn't mind moving up a little to grab him.  I think given how many QBs there are towards the top, he may slip a bit.

I don't want to spend a first round pick (plus whatever it would take to move up) to take a guy who will sit on the bench, when we have a very durable QB and our window to win in the playoffs is open right now.   The future is now.   We are here.  We need to reach out and take it.   Not take a flyer on a guy who at best will sit on the bench. 

Coughlin, Caldwell, and Marrone have all stated they want to win with defense and a running game.   We just signed Blake to an extension.   If they draft Lamar Jackson in the first round, I will think they have lost their minds.

Everyone agrees, right now, Lamar Jackson is a project.   History shows that most often, QBs who need development are a bad risk.
