It's antiquated and particularly does not apply to the Jags situation given their intent to run the ball 30 times a game.

Taking a stud guard at #29 is NOT an "outside the box" scenario in today's NFL - especially for a team with a top tier defense in place and a scheme that involves 30 plus touches for their RBs every week.

I kind of understand the rationale.

It's kind of how people feel about RBs-you can typically find them later.

But to suggest you shouldn't take a guy like Nelson, or Steve Hutchinson in the first round just because they are guards is folly.

You could always use a dominant OL.
