FYI- I wasnt one of those fans. While I still went to the games and supported the team and players- I was 100% positive the Smilin Mike Riley coaching staff would fail the day they were hired and I thought Lee would have the same results here that he had at Tulane.  Lee left a year early- because he knows he has no chance to see the field with the Scott Frost offense.  Had Lee stayed- he would have been "playing" behind a true Freshman, Redshirt Freshman and Walk On transfer. Since NU has what several services have ranked as the #1 most difficult schedule and will probably only win 6 or 7 games next year- it was highly likely Lee wouldnt have played even a single snap and wouldnt have made the travel squad. 

Unfortunately- Tanner Lee is that very pretty sports car that has gone through 5 owners in 3 years and is a lemon- has electrical issues- wont start
Everyone thinks that with just the right mix of coaching and environment they can turn him around
A lemon is a lemon- he's not a QB who will win games in the NFL
Looks great in the "costume" and practice though- if only the team could get points awarded for that
The dealio is- the game thing is REALLY important- some guys dont get that:

While the Jags coaching/scouting staff definitely missed the boat on this one- at least it was a late pick
But if I was a Jags fan- that decision making ability would give me pause.
If you guys need a good scout team QB to build up your defenses confidence- he's your guy- starter- not so much
