Trump does this all the time (see "Spygate") - tries to create his own reality and then convince you that it's real. I'm still waiting for that special info he found regarding Obama's birth certificate.

Do you really think this was all Trump? This is a team effort and requires all parties to negotiate under predefined terms. Blaming Trump as the singular failure point is just plain ignorant. Only in this day and age do folks scream that nothing is being done and then celebrate when diplomacy fails. Truly is a sickness.

Since you brought up that other President, where do you fit on the Iran nuclear deal gullible scale? Suppose they should have given Kim the same deal, right? Maybe just employ “turtle diplomacy” and hide in the shell for 8-years.

Donald clearly doesn't know what he's doing. You don't declare victory and then show up and decide to negotiate. You get the groundwork done, get some agreements made, and then show up to talk further and sign an agreement. But Donald can't help but make it all about him before he's made any arrangements.
Guess he'll have to give back that Nobel Prize.

Kim and his family have spent 30+ years, and god knows how many lives, building up their nuclear capabilities. Did Donald really think they would give all that up for vague promises? I expect Kim to offer to drop his long range missile program (which we don't know even works) and Donald acccepting (he's has to come home with something). Then Kim can continue to work on lessening the US presence in Korea, with the ultimate hope of unifying Korea (under guess who). And before you say "That could never happen", consider Viet Nam.

I think Korea is to Trump what Iran was to Obama - working real hard to create some kind of "legacy".
