England is doing everything within their power to capture an NFL franchise for display. A lot of Roman blood mingling with the Viking vandals.  They've always had a taste for the gladiator games. 

It's not so much that they care about American football, it's the sense they have conquered a big piece of Americana. From there they will continue to de-construct the NFL until there's nothing left. At that point, soccer will fill the void, and America will return to colony status under a crown head.
