... and the St. Louis fans pretty much did the same thing we are doing; stating the move would never happen.  In fact,  for a long period of time up to the official announcement, St. Louis fans always thought the Jags or Bills would be 1st in line for a move to LA rather than their Rams.

Another piece worth mentioning is that the St. Louis move aligned well with divisions around the NFL. The rams were already in the NFC west so a complete division realignment was not necessary. The jags would have shifted a few teams had they moved. The rams were in a perfect position to switch without little collateral damage and to a fan base that had already been slightly established years prior.
